Julia Heshemieh is a distinguished healthcare executive renowned for her leadership in operational excellence and strategic growth. As the President and CEO since the foundation of Bay Area Surgical Management in 2003, she has propelled the company to a leading position in surgical care within the San Francisco Bay Area.

Under her guidance, BASM has expanded to 18 surgery centers, building a solid reputation for quality and patient-focused care among surgeons.

Ms. Heshemieh demonstrates exemplary leadership and operational skills, overseeing all organizational facets, including financial oversight, regulatory compliance, and business development. Her strategic foresight has been vital in revitalizing underperforming centers and securing the organization’s economic health, positioning BASM among the fastest-growing healthcare entities in California that deliver excellent patient care while achieving profitability.
